Angela Wypasek

Prosecuting Attorney

Angela Wypasek was appointed as the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney in January 2023.  Angela received her Bachelor of Criminal Justice Degree from Tiffin University in 1997 and her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 2000. From 2000 to 2002, Angela served as Judicial Attorney in the Summit County Juvenile Court for Retired Judge Judy Hunter. From 2002 to 2017, Angela was employed as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office in both the Juvenile and Felony Divisions.  Angela joined the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office in 2018 as the Chief of the Criminal Division and thereafter, in 2018, she became the First Assistant.  Angela Wypasek is a career prosecutor who is passionate about advocating for others and serving the community.
