The Wayne County Board of Elections is proud to present the Wayne County Voter Academy , a series of five one-hour classes presenting a deep look at the entire process of elections in Wayne County. Each class will cover a specific area of the election process, and participants who attend all five sessions will receive a certificate of completion.

Classes will be held in the Metzler Room at the Board of Elections.

There will be a public meeting of the Wayne County GOP Central Committee on Thursday April 4th at Wayne Insurance Group (3873 Cleveland Rd., Wooster, OH 44691) starting at 6:30pm. You are invited and encouraged to attend. Only Wayne County GOP Central Committee members will have the ability to vote at this meeting. Our agenda will include, at a minimum:

1 - Filling the vacancy in the elected office of the Wayne County Auditor.

2 - Filling the ballot slot for Wayne County Auditor in the 2024 November 5th General Election.

Biden’s Economic Agenda Has Been A Disaster For American Families

BIDEN’S ECONOMY IS A FAILURE

Prices are higher under Biden, and Americans know it.
The latest Consumer Price Index data shows year-over-year inflation remained high last month at 3.1 percent – twice the rate compared to when Biden took office.
Core consumer prices – stripping out food and energy – rose by 4.0 percent .
Prices have risen by 17.4 percent since Biden took office – with Americans still reeling from the lasting effects of inflation.
On a year-over-year basis, inflation under Biden has averaged 5.8 percent – more than double the level of inflation seen under any of the last four presidents.
Food prices are up 20.3 percent , rent is up 18.6 percent , and electricity is up 24.3 percent since Biden took office.
With persistent inflation having eaten away at wage gains, more and more Americans are struggling financially.
Bidenflation outpaced wages for a majority of Biden’s presidency – year-over-year real average hourly earnings were negative for 25 months and real average weekly earnings were negative for 26 months .
Real wages remain lower than when Biden first took office.
Inflation-adjusted average hourly wages were $11.39 when Biden took office and are now $11.07 – the BLS adjusts to 1982-1984 dollars – meaning Americans have seen a 2.8 percent pay cut under Biden.

MORE AMERICANS ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY

Americans are suffering from the lasting effects of Biden’s historic inflation, with many struggling to pay their debts, save for retirement, or afford rent.
60 percent of Americans report living paycheck-to-paycheck heading into the holidays.
More than 1 in 3 Americans will forego giving gifts this year due to Bidenflation.
The personal savings rate was 3.8 percent in October, well below a decades long average of roughly 8.9 percent .
Bidenomics has cost the middle class $2.4 trillion since March 2022.
The average middle-class household has lost over $33,000 in real wealth in just the past year.
Low-income Americans are being hit the hardest by inflation according to studies by the New York Fed , Dallas Fed , and the Urban Institute .
Americans are increasingly borrowing to cover daily expenses, finding their regular income is no longer enough to make ends meet.
Credit card debt recently surpassed $1 trillion for the first time ever – with the average credit card balance now more than $6,000 the highest in ten years.
More retirement savers are borrowing from their 401(k) plan , a “leading” indicator of economic stress.

THE COST OF LIVING IS BECOMING INCREASINGLY UNAFFORDABLE

U.S. average gas prices currently sit at $3.14 per gallon , which is nearly $1 per gallon higher than when Biden became president.
Congress’s Joint Economic Committee estimates that families have lost over $18,860 paying for the increased cost of living under Bidenomics.
Bidenflation cost the average American family $953 in October alone.
The Fed has hiked interest rates 11 times since March 2022 – now at their highest level in 22 years – making it harder for families to buy a home, finance a car, pay off debt, and perform various other financial transactions.
The average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage is now at its highest level since 2000.
Homeownership has been deemed “ unaffordable ” in 99 percent of the country.
Biden’s favorite economist – Moody’s Mark Zandi – said that purchasing a home or a car right now is “ completely unaffordable for the typical American household .”
Renting is only getting more difficult for Americans as rental costs continue to surge while wages remain stagnant – with low-to-moderate income renter households getting hit the hardest.
This is now “ one of the least-affordable rental markets ever .”
According to the latest Census data, U.S. inflation-adjusted household income fell last year by the most in over a decade .
Median household income has fallen for two straight years under Biden and remains below pre-pandemic levels.

AMERICANS ARE NOT HAPPY WITH BIDEN’S ECONOMY

American families are seeing higher prices for virtually everything, and they know exactly who to blame: Biden and Democrats.
71 percent of Americans rate economic conditions in the country as poor, and voters views on the economy align with Republicans over Democrats by a 10-point margin, according to a CNN poll .
Three-quarters of Americans say the economy is in bad shape, and two-thirds don’t see any signs that it’s turning around, according to a Fox News survey .
65 percent believe the country is on the wrong track, according to an Economist/YouGov poll.
58 percent of Americans believe the U.S. economy is weak, according to a recent Harvard CAPS-Harris poll.
67 percent of Americans disapprove of the way Biden is handling the economy, according to a Gallup poll .

DEMOCRATS’ RESONSE TO THE INFLATION CRISIS BIDEN CREATED: MORE INFLATIONARY SPENDING

As working-class families struggle to make ends meet thanks to inflation, voters know Democrats are to blame for rising prices.
In 2021, Biden and Democrats passed their inflation-fueling $1.9 trillion " stimulus ," which even liberal economists admit fueled inflation.
In August, every single Democrat voted to pass the Bidenflation Scam , which experts say will worsen inflation and raise taxes on working-class Americans.
Studies from the Tax Foundation , Penn Wharton Budget Model , Moody's , and the Congressional Budget Office all found that the bill will either make inflation worse or do basically nothing to bring down inflation.
The Tax Foundation concluded that the Bidenflation Scam Act will " worsen inflation especially in the first four " years.
In March, Biden unveiled his budget for FY 2024: a $6.9 trillion spending spree chock full of wasteful spending and higher taxes.

REPUBLICAN-LED STATES ARE DRIVING JOB GROWTH

Biden deserves no credit for jobs that have been created – he paid Americans not to work for months and stifled economic growth.
Republican-led states are the ones creating jobs and leading economic growth.
The latest state jobs report shows that eight of the top 10 states for jobs recovered since the coronavirus pandemic are led by Republican governors, and all 10 states have Republican-controlled legislatures.
Out of the top 25 states with the lowest unemployment rates , 17 are led by Republican governors.

Service Members, Veterans, And Gold Star Families Deserve Better

BIDEN HAS REPEATEDLY DISRESPECTED AMERICA’S HEROES

Under Biden’s leadership, service members, veterans, and Gold Star families have been treated disgracefully.
During the dignified transfer of the 13 service members killed in Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal, Biden repeatedly checked his watch in a blatant show of disrespect .
Biden has never even said the names of these 13 heroes out loud in public.
In Biden’s first year as president, he completely ignored the anniversary of D-Day, and the following year waited until 8:45pm to acknowledge the bravery and sacrifice of America’s heroes.
Recently, Biden abruptly walked out of a Medal of Honor ceremony, even before the closing benediction.
In October, Biden doxxed U.S. special forces soldiers in Israel by sharing a photo on Instagram that showed the faces of service members on assignment.
His administration provided unauthorized access to the military records of seven Republican congressional candidates in 2022.
As vice president, Biden called American service members who didn’t clap for him “stupid bastards.”
The U.S. military is currently facing unprecedented recruiting difficulties under Biden.
The Army, Navy, and Air Force are all on track to miss their enlistment goals this year, with the Army now suffering the worst shortfall in five decades .
Amid this shortfall, Biden is more committed to promoting his woke agenda than ensuring success on the battlefield.

BIDEN’S TREATMENT OF GOLD STAR FAMILIES HAS BEEN A DISGRACE

Because of Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal, 13 brave U.S. service members lost their lives – deaths that Biden claimed were inevitable .
In the two years since this tragic accident, Gold Star families have relentlessly demanded answers and accountability from the Biden administration.
Kelly Barnett, whose son, Marine Staff Sgt. Darin Taylor Hoover, was killed in the withdrawal : Biden “needs to be a grown man. He needs to come out and say, 'Yeah, I made a mistake ... I was looking for a photo op, and I messed up.'"
Christina Shamblin, mother-in-law of fallen Marine Sgt. Nicole Gee : “When our leaders, including our secretary of defense and our Commander-in-Chief call this evacuation a success as if there should be celebration, it is like a knife in the heart for our families and for the people who came back.”
Cheryl Rex, whose son, Marine Lance Cpl. Dylan Merola, died in the Kabul airport bombing : “I feel I deserve real answers, real truths, facts and for someone to be accountable for the failures that occurred, that took my son’s life.”
Instead, the Biden administration has attempted to brush off and downplay their Afghanistan disaster.
This poor treatment of Gold Star families is not new – a Gold Star father described his 2016 meeting with Biden as a “ horrible experience ” and that he left their conversation “feeling worse” than before.

BIDEN’S POLICY MISTAKES HAVE EMBOLDENED TERRORISTS, AND DIMINISHED THE SACRIFICES OF OUR VETERANS

America’s veterans put their lives on the line to defend our country and protect our freedoms, and we are forever indebted.
Under Biden’s leadership, terrorists who want to attack these freedoms have become increasingly emboldened.
When Biden pulled the U.S. out of Afghanistan, he left behind billions in U.S. military equipment for terrorists .
A year after the botched withdrawal, Biden spokesman John Kirby confirmed Al Qaeda is now “actively” using Afghanistan as a “safe haven” to “plot and plan attacks against American interests and the American homeland.”
One national poll of veterans found, 73 percent have a negative view of the Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.
83 percent of veterans say they have been dissatisfied with the “lack of accountability from senior civilian and military officials in how they handled the withdrawal.”

DESPITE READINESS CONCERNS, BIDEN HAS CHOSEN TO POLITICIZE OUR MILITARY

The Biden administration has politicized America’s military, from ordering soldiers to stand as props to installing a woke leadership structure at the highest levels.
Standing outside Philadelphia’s Independence Hall, Biden was flanked by two Marines as he delivered a politically-charged speech during which he smeared millions of Americans .
On Biden’s watch, the Defense Department is injecting critical race theory into its education programs.
The Air Force Academy admits that “ tenets of critical race theory ” are taught in its classrooms and has curriculum which tells cadets to use gender inclusive terms and to avoid words like “ mom and dad .”
The Navy included far-left radical Ibram X. Kendi’s anti-American book “How to Be An Antiracist” on its 2021 reading list .
The Army reduced its fitness standards in order to increase the number of women represented in the military, putting quotas ahead of troop training standards.
Biden pushed a vaccine mandate on our military, firing service members with religious objections to further his political agenda.
Biden claims to be “ preparing the military by trying to deal with the climate stuff ,” with his Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm expressing support for the U.S. military adopting an all-electric vehicle fleet by 2030.
Biden’s climate agenda will make the U.S. military reliant to China as many of the minerals essential to EV battery production are primarily mined and processed in China.

It’s official — Mike Johnson (R-LA) is the 56th speaker of the House of Representatives.

Corrupt Democrats, swampy lobbyists, and overpaid bureaucrats are hardest hit.

For his entire career, Speaker Johnson has been a fierce defender of conservative values. He has been on the frontlines of the Republican-led efforts to secure the border , eliminate bureaucracy , protect children , strengthen America’s military , and hold the Biden administration accountable — and as a constitutional lawyer, he has spent his entire career protecting the rights and liberties of all.
